| CVE-2024-23829 | 2 Aiohttp, Fedoraproject | 2 Aiohttp, Fedora | 2024-02-09 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Security-sensitive parts of the Python HTTP parser retained minor differences in allowable character sets, that must trigger error handling to robustly match frame boundaries of proxies in order to protect against injection of additional requests. Additionally, validation could trigger exceptions that were not handled consistently with processing of other malformed input. Being more lenient than internet standards require could, depending on deployment environment, assist in request smuggling. The unhandled exception could cause excessive resource consumption on the application server and/or its logging facilities. This vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-47627. Version 3.9.2 fixes this vulnerability. | |||||
| CVE-2005-2088 | 2 Apache, Debian | 2 Http Server, Debian Linux | 2024-02-09 | 4.3 MEDIUM | N/A |
| The Apache HTTP server before 1.3.34, and 2.0.x before 2.0.55, when acting as an HTTP proxy, allows remote attackers to poison the web cache, bypass web application firewall protection, and conduct XSS attacks via an HTTP request with both a "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" header and a Content-Length header, which causes Apache to incorrectly handle and forward the body of the request in a way that causes the receiving server to process it as a separate HTTP request, aka "HTTP Request Smuggling." | |||||
| CVE-2006-6276 | 1 Sun | 4 Java System Application Server, Java System Web Proxy Server, Java System Web Server and 1 more | 2024-02-09 | 6.8 MEDIUM | N/A |
| HTTP request smuggling vulnerability in Sun Java System Proxy Server before 20061130, when used with Sun Java System Application Server or Sun Java System Web Server, allows remote attackers to bypass HTTP request filtering, hijack web sessions, perform cross-site scripting (XSS), and poison web caches via unspecified attack vectors. | |||||
| CVE-2005-2089 | 1 Microsoft | 1 Internet Information Services | 2024-02-09 | 4.3 MEDIUM | N/A |
| Microsoft IIS 5.0 and 6.0 allows remote attackers to poison the web cache, bypass web application firewall protection, and conduct XSS attacks via an HTTP request with both a "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" header and a Content-Length header, which causes IIS to incorrectly handle and forward the body of the request in a way that causes the receiving server to process it as a separate HTTP request, aka "HTTP Request Smuggling." | |||||
| CVE-2023-47627 | 1 Aiohttp | 1 Aiohttp | 2024-02-05 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. The HTTP parser in AIOHTTP has numerous problems with header parsing, which could lead to request smuggling. This parser is only used when AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS is enabled (or not using a prebuilt wheel). These bugs have been addressed in commit `d5c12ba89` which has been included in release version 3.8.6. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for these issues. | |||||
| CVE-2023-52354 | 1 Blitiri | 1 Chasquid | 2024-01-29 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| chasquid before 1.13 allows SMTP smuggling because LF-terminated lines are accepted. | |||||
| CVE-2020-25613 | 2 Fedoraproject, Ruby-lang | 3 Fedora, Ruby, Webrick | 2024-01-24 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Ruby through 2.5.8, 2.6.x through 2.6.6, and 2.7.x through 2.7.1. WEBrick, a simple HTTP server bundled with Ruby, had not checked the transfer-encoding header value rigorously. An attacker may potentially exploit this issue to bypass a reverse proxy (which also has a poor header check), which may lead to an HTTP Request Smuggling attack. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46846 | 2 Redhat, Squid-cache | 8 Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Eus, Enterprise Linux For Arm 64 and 5 more | 2024-01-22 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| SQUID is vulnerable to HTTP request smuggling, caused by chunked decoder lenience, allows a remote attacker to perform Request/Response smuggling past firewall and frontend security systems. | |||||
| CVE-2023-51701 | 1 Fastify | 1 Reply-from | 2024-01-11 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| fastify-reply-from is a Fastify plugin to forward the current HTTP request to another server. A reverse proxy server built with `@fastify/reply-from` could misinterpret the incoming body by passing an header `ContentType: application/json ; charset=utf-8`. This can lead to bypass of security checks. This vulnerability has been patched in '@fastify/reply-from` version 9.6.0. | |||||
| CVE-2024-21647 | 1 Puma | 1 Puma | 2024-01-11 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Puma is a web server for Ruby/Rack applications built for parallelism. Prior to version 6.4.2, puma exhibited incorrect behavior when parsing chunked transfer encoding bodies in a way that allowed HTTP request smuggling. Fixed versions limits the size of chunk extensions. Without this limit, an attacker could cause unbounded resource (CPU, network bandwidth) consumption. This vulnerability has been fixed in versions 6.4.2 and 5.6.8. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46589 | 1 Apache | 1 Tomcat | 2024-01-05 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Improper Input Validation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat.Tomcat from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.0-M10, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.15, from 9.0.0-M1 through 9.0.82 and from 8.5.0 through 8.5.95 did not correctly parse HTTP trailer headers. A trailer header that exceeded the header size limit could cause Tomcat to treat a single request as multiple requests leading to the possibility of request smuggling when behind a reverse proxy. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0-M11Â onwards, 10.1.16 onwards, 9.0.83 onwards or 8.5.96 onwards, which fix the issue. | |||||
| CVE-2023-25690 | 1 Apache | 1 Http Server | 2024-01-02 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| Some mod_proxy configurations on Apache HTTP Server versions 2.4.0 through 2.4.55 allow a HTTP Request Smuggling attack. Configurations are affected when mod_proxy is enabled along with some form of RewriteRule or ProxyPassMatch in which a non-specific pattern matches some portion of the user-supplied request-target (URL) data and is then re-inserted into the proxied request-target using variable substitution. For example, something like: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule "^/here/(.*)" "http://example.com:8080/elsewhere?$1"; [P] ProxyPassReverse /here/ http://example.com:8080/ Request splitting/smuggling could result in bypass of access controls in the proxy server, proxying unintended URLs to existing origin servers, and cache poisoning. Users are recommended to update to at least version 2.4.56 of Apache HTTP Server. | |||||
| CVE-2023-49584 | 1 Sap | 1 Fiori Launchpad | 2023-12-15 | N/A | 4.3 MEDIUM |
| SAP Fiori launchpad - versions SAP_UI 750, SAP_UI 754, SAP_UI 755, SAP_UI 756, SAP_UI 757, SAP_UI 758, UI_700 200, SAP_BASIS 793, allows an attacker to use HTTP verb POST on read-only service causing low impact on Confidentiality of the application. | |||||
| CVE-2023-48365 | 1 Qlik | 1 Qlik Sense | 2023-11-29 | N/A | 9.9 CRITICAL |
| Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows before August 2023 Patch 2 allows unauthenticated remote code execution, aka QB-21683. Due to improper validation of HTTP headers, a remote attacker is able to elevate their privilege by tunneling HTTP requests, allowing them to execute HTTP requests on the backend server that hosts the repository application. The fixed versions are August 2023 Patch 2, May 2023 Patch 6, February 2023 Patch 10, November 2022 Patch 12, August 2022 Patch 14, May 2022 Patch 16, February 2022 Patch 15, and November 2021 Patch 17. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2023-41265. | |||||
| CVE-2022-2880 | 1 Golang | 1 Go | 2023-11-25 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Requests forwarded by ReverseProxy include the raw query parameters from the inbound request, including unparsable parameters rejected by net/http. This could permit query parameter smuggling when a Go proxy forwards a parameter with an unparsable value. After fix, ReverseProxy sanitizes the query parameters in the forwarded query when the outbound request's Form field is set after the ReverseProxy. Director function returns, indicating that the proxy has parsed the query parameters. Proxies which do not parse query parameters continue to forward the original query parameters unchanged. | |||||
| CVE-2023-47641 | 1 Aiohttp | 1 Aiohttp | 2023-11-22 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Affected versions of aiohttp have a security vulnerability regarding the inconsistent interpretation of the http protocol. HTTP/1.1 is a persistent protocol, if both Content-Length(CL) and Transfer-Encoding(TE) header values are present it can lead to incorrect interpretation of two entities that parse the HTTP and we can poison other sockets with this incorrect interpretation. A possible Proof-of-Concept (POC) would be a configuration with a reverse proxy(frontend) that accepts both CL and TE headers and aiohttp as backend. As aiohttp parses anything with chunked, we can pass a chunked123 as TE, the frontend entity will ignore this header and will parse Content-Length. The impact of this vulnerability is that it is possible to bypass any proxy rule, poisoning sockets to other users like passing Authentication Headers, also if it is present an Open Redirect an attacker could combine it to redirect random users to another website and log the request. This vulnerability has been addressed in release 3.8.0 of aiohttp. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. | |||||
| CVE-2023-37276 | 1 Aiohttp | 1 Aiohttp | 2023-11-22 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| aiohttp is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. aiohttp v3.8.4 and earlier are bundled with llhttp v6.0.6. Vulnerable code is used by aiohttp for its HTTP request parser when available which is the default case when installing from a wheel. This vulnerability only affects users of aiohttp as an HTTP server (ie `aiohttp.Application`), you are not affected by this vulnerability if you are using aiohttp as an HTTP client library (ie `aiohttp.ClientSession`). Sending a crafted HTTP request will cause the server to misinterpret one of the HTTP header values leading to HTTP request smuggling. This issue has been addressed in version 3.8.5. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade can reinstall aiohttp using `AIOHTTP_NO_EXTENSIONS=1` as an environment variable to disable the llhttp HTTP request parser implementation. The pure Python implementation isn't vulnerable. | |||||
| CVE-2023-46121 | 1 Yt-dlp Project | 1 Yt-dlp | 2023-11-22 | N/A | 3.7 LOW |
| yt-dlp is a youtube-dl fork with additional features and fixes. The Generic Extractor in yt-dlp is vulnerable to an attacker setting an arbitrary proxy for a request to an arbitrary url, allowing the attacker to MITM the request made from yt-dlp's HTTP session. This could lead to cookie exfiltration in some cases. Version 2023.11.14 removed the ability to smuggle `http_headers` to the Generic extractor, as well as other extractors that use the same pattern. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should disable the Ggneric extractor (or only pass trusted sites with trusted content) and ake caution when using `--no-check-certificate`. | |||||
