| A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. During USB device initialization, descriptors are read with very little bounds checking and assumes the USB device is providing sane values. If properly exploited, an attacker could trigger memory corruption leading to arbitrary code execution allowing a bypass of the Secure Boot mechanism. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. | |||||
| CVE-2020-25632 | 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more | 8 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 5 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.2 HIGH | 8.2 HIGH |
| A flaw was found in grub2 in versions prior to 2.06. The rmmod implementation allows the unloading of a module used as a dependency without checking if any other dependent module is still loaded leading to a use-after-free scenario. This could allow arbitrary code to be executed or a bypass of Secure Boot protections. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity as well as system availability. | |||||
| CVE-2020-25097 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Cloud Manager and 1 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 8.6 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Squid through 4.13 and 5.x through 5.0.4. Due to improper input validation, it allows a trusted client to perform HTTP Request Smuggling and access services otherwise forbidden by the security controls. This occurs for certain uri_whitespace configuration settings. | |||||
| CVE-2020-24977 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more | 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 16 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |

| The X.509 GeneralName type is a generic type for representing different types of names. One of those name types is known as EDIPartyName. OpenSSL provides a function GENERAL_NAME_cmp which compares different instances of a GENERAL_NAME to see if they are equal or not. This function behaves incorrectly when both GENERAL_NAMEs contain an EDIPARTYNAME. A NULL pointer dereference and a crash may occur leading to a possible denial of service attack. OpenSSL itself uses the GENERAL_NAME_cmp function for two purposes: 1) Comparing CRL distribution point names between an available CRL and a CRL distribution point embedded in an X509 certificate 2) When verifying that a timestamp response token signer matches the timestamp authority name (exposed via the API functions TS_RESP_verify_response and TS_RESP_verify_token) If an attacker can control both items being compared then that attacker could trigger a crash. For example if the attacker can trick a client or server into checking a malicious certificate against a malicious CRL then this may occur. Note that some applications automatically download CRLs based on a URL embedded in a certificate. This checking happens prior to the signatures on the certificate and CRL being verified. OpenSSL's s_server, s_client and verify tools have support for the "-crl_download" option which implements automatic CRL downloading and this attack has been demonstrated to work against those tools. Note that an unrelated bug means that affected versions of OpenSSL cannot parse or construct correct encodings of EDIPARTYNAME. However it is possible to construct a malformed EDIPARTYNAME that OpenSSL's parser will accept and hence trigger this attack. All OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 versions are affected by this issue. Other OpenSSL releases are out of support and have not been checked. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1i (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1h). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2x (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2w). | |||||
| CVE-2020-1967 | 10 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 7 more | 26 Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 23 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| Server or client applications that call the SSL_check_chain() function during or after a TLS 1.3 handshake may crash due to a NULL pointer dereference as a result of incorrect handling of the "signature_algorithms_cert" TLS extension. The crash occurs if an invalid or unrecognised signature algorithm is received from the peer. This could be exploited by a malicious peer in a Denial of Service attack. OpenSSL version 1.1.1d, 1.1.1e, and 1.1.1f are affected by this issue. This issue did not affect OpenSSL versions prior to 1.1.1d. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1g (Affected 1.1.1d-1.1.1f). | |||||
| CVE-2020-1954 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Oracle | 10 Cxf, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snapmanager and 7 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.9 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| Apache CXF has the ability to integrate with JMX by registering an InstrumentationManager extension with the CXF bus. If the ‘createMBServerConnectorFactory‘ property of the default InstrumentationManagerImpl is not disabled, then it is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle (MITM) style attack. An attacker on the same host can connect to the registry and rebind the entry to another server, thus acting as a proxy to the original. They are then able to gain access to all of the information that is sent and received over JMX. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1935 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 20 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 17 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 4.8 MEDIUM |
| In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99 the HTTP header parsing code used an approach to end-of-line parsing that allowed some invalid HTTP headers to be parsed as valid. This led to a possibility of HTTP Request Smuggling if Tomcat was located behind a reverse proxy that incorrectly handled the invalid Transfer-Encoding header in a particular manner. Such a reverse proxy is considered unlikely. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1927 | 8 Apache, Broadcom, Canonical and 5 more | 14 Http Server, Brocade Fabric Operating System, Ubuntu Linux and 11 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 6.1 MEDIUM |
| In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 to 2.4.41, redirects configured with mod_rewrite that were intended to be self-referential might be fooled by encoded newlines and redirect instead to an an unexpected URL within the request URL. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1752 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Gnu and 1 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Glibc and 6 more | 2023-11-07 | 3.7 LOW | 7.0 HIGH |
| A use-after-free vulnerability introduced in glibc upstream version 2.14 was found in the way the tilde expansion was carried out. Directory paths containing an initial tilde followed by a valid username were affected by this issue. A local attacker could exploit this flaw by creating a specially crafted path that, when processed by the glob function, would potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. This was fixed in version 2.32. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1730 | 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Libssh and 3 more | 6 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Libssh and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in libssh versions before 0.8.9 and before 0.9.4 in the way it handled AES-CTR (or DES ciphers if enabled) ciphers. The server or client could crash when the connection hasn't been fully initialized and the system tries to cleanup the ciphers when closing the connection. The biggest threat from this vulnerability is system availability. | |||||
| CVE-2020-17527 | 4 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 1 more | 12 Tomcat, Debian Linux, Element Plug-in and 9 more | 2023-11-07 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| While investigating bug 64830 it was discovered that Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M9, 9.0.0-M1 to 9.0.39 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.59 could re-use an HTTP request header value from the previous stream received on an HTTP/2 connection for the request associated with the subsequent stream. While this would most likely lead to an error and the closure of the HTTP/2 connection, it is possible that information could leak between requests. | |||||
| CVE-2020-17521 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Oracle | 21 Atlas, Groovy, Snapcenter and 18 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Apache Groovy provides extension methods to aid with creating temporary directories. Prior to this fix, Groovy's implementation of those extension methods was using a now superseded Java JDK method call that is potentially not secure on some operating systems in some contexts. Users not using the extension methods mentioned in the advisory are not affected, but may wish to read the advisory for further details. Versions Affected: 2.0 to 2.4.20, 2.5.0 to 2.5.13, 3.0.0 to 3.0.6, and 4.0.0-alpha-1. Fixed in versions 2.4.21, 2.5.14, 3.0.7, 4.0.0-alpha-2. | |||||
