CVE-2018-0732 4 Canonical, Debian, Nodejs and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Node.js and 1 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
During key agreement in a TLS handshake using a DH(E) based ciphersuite a malicious server can send a very large prime value to the client. This will cause the client to spend an unreasonably long period of time generating a key for this prime resulting in a hang until the client has finished. This could be exploited in a Denial Of Service attack. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.0i-dev (Affected 1.1.0-1.1.0h). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2p-dev (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2o).
CVE-2018-0495 5 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt and 5 more 2023-11-07 1.9 LOW 4.7 MEDIUM
Libgcrypt before 1.7.10 and 1.8.x before 1.8.3 allows a memory-cache side-channel attack on ECDSA signatures that can be mitigated through the use of blinding during the signing process in the _gcry_ecc_ecdsa_sign function in cipher/ecc-ecdsa.c, aka the Return Of the Hidden Number Problem or ROHNP. To discover an ECDSA key, the attacker needs access to either the local machine or a different virtual machine on the same physical host.
CVE-2017-9473 2 Canonical, Ytnef Project 2 Ubuntu Linux, Ytnef 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
In ytnef 1.9.2, the TNEFFillMapi function in lib/ytnef.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted file.
CVE-2017-9471 2 Canonical, Ytnef Project 2 Ubuntu Linux, Ytnef 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
In ytnef 1.9.2, the SwapWord function in lib/ytnef.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read and application crash) via a crafted file.
CVE-2017-9239 2 Canonical, Exiv2 2 Ubuntu Linux, Exiv2 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in Exiv2 0.26. When the data structure of the structure ifd is incorrect, the program assigns pValue_ to 0x0, and the value of pValue() is 0x0. TiffImageEntry::doWriteImage will use the value of pValue() to cause a segmentation fault. To exploit this vulnerability, someone must open a crafted tiff file.
CVE-2017-9058 2 Canonical, Ytnef Project 2 Ubuntu Linux, Ytnef 2023-11-07 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In libytnef in ytnef through 1.9.2, there is a heap-based buffer over-read due to incorrect boundary checking in the SIZECHECK macro in lib/ytnef.c.
CVE-2017-9022 3 Canonical, Debian, Strongswan 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Strongswan 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The gmp plugin in strongSwan before 5.5.3 does not properly validate RSA public keys before calling mpz_powm_sec, which allows remote peers to cause a denial of service (floating point exception and process crash) via a crafted certificate.
CVE-2017-8386 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more 2023-11-07 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH

CVE-2017-7526 3 Canonical, Debian, Gnupg 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libgcrypt 2023-11-07 4.3 MEDIUM 6.8 MEDIUM
libgcrypt before version 1.7.8 is vulnerable to a cache side-channel attack resulting into a complete break of RSA-1024 while using the left-to-right method for computing the sliding-window expansion. The same attack is believed to work on RSA-2048 with moderately more computation. This side-channel requires that attacker can run arbitrary software on the hardware where the private RSA key is used.
CVE-2017-7518 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 6 more 2023-11-07 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel before version 4.12 in the way the KVM module processed the trap flag(TF) bit in EFLAGS during emulation of the syscall instruction, which leads to a debug exception(#DB) being raised in the guest stack. A user/process inside a guest could use this flaw to potentially escalate their privileges inside the guest. Linux guests are not affected by this.
CVE-2017-6519 2 Avahi, Canonical 2 Avahi, Ubuntu Linux 2023-11-07 6.4 MEDIUM 9.1 CRITICAL
avahi-daemon in Avahi through 0.6.32 and 0.7 inadvertently responds to IPv6 unicast queries with source addresses that are not on-link, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (traffic amplification) and may cause information leakage by obtaining potentially sensitive information from the responding device via port-5353 UDP packets. NOTE: this may overlap CVE-2015-2809.
CVE-2017-6362 4 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 1 more 2023-11-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
