| SDL (Simple DirectMedia Layer) through 1.2.15 and 2.x through 2.0.9 has a heap-based buffer over-read in BlitNtoN in video/SDL_blit_N.c when called from SDL_SoftBlit in video/SDL_blit.c. | |||||
| CVE-2019-13314 | 1 Redhat | 1 Virt-bootstrap | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 7.8 HIGH |
| virt-bootstrap 1.1.0 allows local users to discover a root password by listing a process, because this password may be present in the --root-password option to virt_bootstrap.py. | |||||
| CVE-2019-13313 | 3 Fedoraproject, Libosinfo, Redhat | 6 Fedora, Libosinfo, Enterprise Linux and 3 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 7.8 HIGH |
| libosinfo 1.5.0 allows local users to discover credentials by listing a process, because credentials are passed to osinfo-install-script via the command line. | |||||
| CVE-2019-13272 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel before 5.1.17, ptrace_link in kernel/ptrace.c mishandles the recording of the credentials of a process that wants to create a ptrace relationship, which allows local users to obtain root access by leveraging certain scenarios with a parent-child process relationship, where a parent drops privileges and calls execve (potentially allowing control by an attacker). One contributing factor is an object lifetime issue (which can also cause a panic). Another contributing factor is incorrect marking of a ptrace relationship as privileged, which is exploitable through (for example) Polkit's pkexec helper with PTRACE_TRACEME. NOTE: SELinux deny_ptrace might be a usable workaround in some environments. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12817 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 6 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
| arch/powerpc/mm/mmu_context_book3s64.c in the Linux kernel before 5.1.15 for powerpc has a bug where unrelated processes may be able to read/write to one another's virtual memory under certain conditions via an mmap above 512 TB. Only a subset of powerpc systems are affected. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12614 | 5 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 2 more | 2023-11-07 | 4.7 MEDIUM | 4.1 MEDIUM |
| An issue was discovered in dlpar_parse_cc_property in arch/powerpc/platforms/pseries/dlpar.c in the Linux kernel through 5.1.6. There is an unchecked kstrdup of prop->name, which might allow an attacker to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash). | |||||
| CVE-2019-12527 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 5 more | 2023-11-07 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| An issue was discovered in Squid 4.0.23 through 4.7. When checking Basic Authentication with HttpHeader::getAuth, Squid uses a global buffer to store the decoded data. Squid does not check that the decoded length isn't greater than the buffer, leading to a heap-based buffer overflow with user controlled data. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12450 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 6 more | 2023-11-07 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| file_copy_fallback in gio/gfile.c in GNOME GLib 2.15.0 through 2.61.1 does not properly restrict file permissions while a copy operation is in progress. Instead, default permissions are used. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12400 | 3 Apache, Oracle, Redhat | 3 Santuario Xml Security For Java, Weblogic Server, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform | 2023-11-07 | 1.9 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In version 2.0.3 Apache Santuario XML Security for Java, a caching mechanism was introduced to speed up creating new XML documents using a static pool of DocumentBuilders. However, if some untrusted code can register a malicious implementation with the thread context class loader first, then this implementation might be cached and re-used by Apache Santuario - XML Security for Java, leading to potential security flaws when validating signed documents, etc. The vulnerability affects Apache Santuario - XML Security for Java 2.0.x releases from 2.0.3 and all 2.1.x releases before 2.1.4. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12384 | 3 Debian, Fasterxml, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Enterprise Linux | 2023-11-07 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
| FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.9.1 might allow attackers to have a variety of impacts by leveraging failure to block the logback-core class from polymorphic deserialization. Depending on the classpath content, remote code execution may be possible. | |||||
| CVE-2019-11884 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more | 12 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 9 more | 2023-11-07 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |
| The do_hidp_sock_ioctl function in net/bluetooth/hidp/sock.c in the Linux kernel before 5.0.15 allows a local user to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via a HIDPCONNADD command, because a name field may not end with a '\0' character. | |||||
